A Dining House

A dining house for guests who notice the difference.

At Kurohana House, every part of the evening is considered. The light is low. The room is calm. The pacing is deliberate. From the first pour to the final tea, the experience is designed to feel composed, attentive, and worth remembering — a house built around the quieter signals of a great restaurant.

"Every course felt intentional, and the service had that rare balance of warmth and restraint."

Signature Experiences

Four ways to spend an evening.

The house is structured around four distinct formats. Each is shaped by the same principles of seasonality, atmosphere, and exacting hospitality — and each is designed to be chosen with intention.

01

Counter Omakase

From $225

A chef-guided seasonal progression of 14 to 18 courses served across an intimate counter, where timing, temperature, and ingredient quality shape the evening.

02

Seasonal Tasting

From $135

A multi-course dining room experience that moves through raw, warm, and charcoal-led courses with the same disciplined seasonal point of view as the counter.

The Room

Designed for quieter, better evenings.

Dark timber, warm stone, hand-finished ceramics, and soft indirect light. Every surface is chosen to support the pace of the meal and the mood of the table — intimate without ever feeling closed in.

The room seats 42 across three zones: a twelve-seat chef's counter in darkened oak, an intimate dining room with banquette seating for two and four, and a discreet lounge for pre-dinner drinks and late-evening plates.

The Progression

Precision on the plate.
Warmth in the sequence.

Expect a progression that moves between delicacy and depth: pristine raw preparations, broths and custards, binchotan-fired signatures, curated nigiri, and a closing ritual of tea and dessert. Menus shift with the season and the market — what follows is a representative winter sequence.

Menu changes weekly

A point of view, not a list of dishes.

Our menus are built on what is arriving — what is best at the market this week, what the season is asking for, what shapes a disciplined sequence of seven or nine courses.

Counter omakase follows the same discipline across 14 to 18 courses, with added premium options (otoro, A5 wagyu, uni) available as supplements at the chef's counter.

Beverage Program

A beverage program built to belong at the table.

Sake, Japanese whisky, wine, tea, and zero-proof pairings are selected with the same care as the food. Whether you prefer a full pairing or a single thoughtful pour, the program is designed to deepen the meal rather than distract from it.

Our sommelier team curates pairings across four distinct programs — each structured to match the pacing and temperature of the tasting, not simply stand beside it.

  • Sake Pairing$95
  • Wine Pairing$115
  • Zero-Proof Pairing$65
  • Hybrid Pairing$85

"A restaurant is ninety percent what you don't notice. The temperature of the rice. The pause before the next course. The hand that clears the plate before you reach for it. We work in that ninety percent."
